After a winter staycation in Chippendale we kicked off another wedding season on Saturday with the effervescent Bernie and Hally. As with TV shows and soccer games there's always high expectations for the season opener as it sets the standard for the rest of the season, and let's just say these legends delivered! And I'm not even talking about the venues, the outfits or the styling of the reception. Bernie and Hally are two of the loveliest, most genuine people we've had the pleasure of working with. Their love for each other was on display the entire day and their beaming smiles and constant laughter kept everyone's spirits high. When we work with couples like this there really isn't any hard work for us to do, we simply enjoy watching the day unfold.Read More
Isabelle and Tim flew back from their new life in Singapore to throw a truly fantastic backyard wedding in the southern highlands town of Burrawang. I say backyard but it's more like 100 acres of farmland and as such there was plenty of space for a marquee reception and neat touches like this light-strewn driveway.
This was my last image of the night as the happy couple took a few quiet moments of respite from the pumping dancefloor to reflect on what had been a truly awesome day.Read More
There are backyard weddings and then there are backyard weddings like this! Margaux and Ed made their entrance in a spectacular marquee for 120 guests located in the backyard of Margaux’s parents’ beautiful Woollahra home in Sydney's eastern suburbs!Read More
Weddings are quite rightly about having a damn fine party with those who are closest to you. But sometimes not everyone can make it and we quite often hear mention of grandparents who are no longer with us or just too frail to make the journey.
During Chloe and Josh's reception, however, we heard about how their beloved "babies" aka Chubbs and Mr Chow couldn't attend. Well that's what they thought until a surprise gift photo was revealed showing their gorgeous canines wearing party hats and ready to get down! It was a fantastic moment that gave us some priceless expressions!Read More

It was reception time at Bells At Killcare and after some pretty impressive speeches by their families Anne-Marie and Elliott were feeling a little worried about whether their joint speech would make the grade. They needn't have worried, it was perfect, just like their whole day.Read More
It's not often that I post photos from late in the reception when the dancing is underway and I'm not sure why I don't do it more. After all, by this point all the formalities are over so everyone, especially the bride and groom, can relax and really celebrate.
Michelle had an extra reason to celebrate. November had set new rainfall records in Sydney, and on one of its wettest days Michelle faced the dilemma that no bride wants to deal with. With the ceremony two hours away the wedding coordinator at Q Station Manly called Michelle and asked her to decide whether she wanted to go with her preferred outdoor wharf location or the indoor wet weather option. And she needed a decision. Immediately.Read More
