Sneak Peeks: Maria and Gerald's St Mary's Cathedral and QVB Team Room Sydney Wedding

Gee I love Filo weddings. They just seem to have the perfect mix of culture, tradition, emotion, amazing smiles, and bad ass dance moves. It could just be that the fantastic Maria and Gerald came from perfect families and happened to invite the perfect crowd, but I’m guessing that their day is pretty much par for the course for this friendly and graceful nation.

Sneak Peeks: Bernie and Hally's Gledswood Homestead Wedding

After a winter staycation in Chippendale we kicked off another wedding season on Saturday with the effervescent Bernie and Hally. As with TV shows and soccer games there's always high expectations for the season opener as it sets the standard for the rest of the season, and let's just say these legends delivered! And I'm not even talking about the venues, the outfits or the styling of the reception. Bernie and Hally are two of the loveliest, most genuine people we've had the pleasure of working with. Their love for each other was on display the entire day and their beaming smiles and constant laughter kept everyone's spirits high. When we work with couples like this there really isn't any hard work for us to do, we simply enjoy watching the day unfold.

One From The Weekend: Bella and Jono at Allview Escape, Blue Mountains

After more than seven years and 250+ weddings you'd think we would have seen everything. But Bella and Jono's wedding at Allview Escape in the Blue Mountains delivered two firsts for us. The first was a real milestone - our first wedding in the Blue Mountains (I'm still trying to get my head around that) while the second was seeing our first leaf shower! How good does it look especially with those gorgeous autumn colours?! More of that please!

One From The Weekend: Clarissa and Tom's Loreto Kirribilli Wedding

We love it when the wedding ceremony takes place in a location that has a personal meaning. Such was the case for Clarissa who married Tom in the chapel of her school, Loreto Kirribilli on Sydney's north shore.

However, the quirky layout of the school has the chapel a couple of floors up, so the bride's entrance starts with a trek up several flights of stairs and that in turn gives us the opportunity to capture some quite unique images.

One From The Weekend: Amanda and Anthony's Bondi Beach Wedding

Amanda and Anthony tied the knot at Bondi Beach, the place I called home for most of my time in Australia. Many things have changed since I left the eastern suburbs including the North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club which has been transformed into an architectural statement. It also makes a pretty good location for photos!

From the bride and groom: "These shots look amazing! Thank you so much for your help on the day. You were both great and we don’t think it could have gone any better."

One From The Weekend: Natalie and Tolga's Bendooley Estate Wedding

"Our wedding photos are absolutely amazing! Every time we share the photos with our family and friends they are also amazed at your work. We honestly can't thank you both enough and we are so glad we rightly entrusted you with capturing our day. You did this perfectly. Although I think it will be difficult to select our favourite photos (they are all so beautiful!), we can't wait to start designing the album. Thanks again for your fantastic work!"

One From The Weekend: AJ and Jo Go Down A Different Path

Meet AJ and Jo aka AJO. They're a super creative and adventurous couple and were determined to do things a little differently for their wedding, so they had a first look (during which time this shot was taken - btw check out AJ's salmon pink blazer!), followed by a ceremony at AJ's family home, and a reception at Killcare Surf Club. They didn't have a wedding cake (opting instead for a dessert table with half a dozen different cakes - YUM!) and rather than having a first dance they surprised their guests by bursting into song and inviting their guests to have the first dance! Now that's what I call going down a different path!
