This was a wedding about resilience and perseverance. It’s often said that the only thing you can’t control on your wedding day is the weather and for Courtney and Nash the weather was their foil on Saturday at Bendooley Estate. I’d been watching the weather forecast all week, and on the day itself I was keeping an eye on the radar map every hour. The forecast had been heavy rain and a high likelihood of a thunderstorm but as we approached the ceremony time with no sign of the wet stuff heading our way the positive vibes started flowing that we would get through the ceremony unscathed. And we almost did.Read More
We’re always excited to visit Bendooley Estate in the southern highlands, but after skyping with the effervescent Hong Kong based Mercedes we knew this wedding would be especially memorable. Initially one of the highlights was going to be meeting Mercedes’ Academy Award winning aunt who she was named after but due to Broadway commitments Mercedes snr had to Facetime into the ceremony instead. Despite this minor setback we loved the way Mercedes and Oliver surprised two of their family members by asking them to be their witnesses, and with The White Tree Band providing the music and entertainment a packed dance floor was never going to be in doubt.Read More
I always see the bridal party photo session as an opportunity for them to have some fun and show off their skills, and that's exactly what happened during Hannah and Oliver's wedding at Bendooley Estate in the gorgeous southern highlands. Here's proof that bridesmaids have skills beyond holding bouquets!
From the bride and groom: "Thank you so much for the photos!! They are amazing. We’ve just got enough wifi in Africa to download them and they make us so happy looking back on the day!"Read More
"Our wedding photos are absolutely amazing! Every time we share the photos with our family and friends they are also amazed at your work. We honestly can't thank you both enough and we are so glad we rightly entrusted you with capturing our day. You did this perfectly. Although I think it will be difficult to select our favourite photos (they are all so beautiful!), we can't wait to start designing the album. Thanks again for your fantastic work!"Read More
Bendooley Estate in the southern highlands is one of our favourite wedding spaces, and as one of their recommended photography studios we have the joy of heading down there several times each year. It's always a beautiful space to visit but the best time is right now as autumn arrives and the colours of the leaves start to transform into an explosion of colour.
Nicely timed Gaby and Daniel!Read More
Bendooley Estate is pretty much the perfect wedding venue. Located in the gorgeous southern highlands the stunning property includes the unique book barn, a cute cottage, a homestead, lakeside ceremony location and a recently opened cellar door. However, what the Berkelouw family didn't realise is that my favourite spot for photos would be their children's play area!Read More
As we wandered the gorgeous grounds of Bendooley Estate in the southern highlands I spotted a trampoline and half jokingly / half seriously asked Peta if she'd like to try it out. What I never expected was for Peta to then reveal that she's a physio for the Australian trampolining team. So from that moment on there was only ever going to be one outcome.Read More
Stacey and Michael's wedding on Sunday was particularly special as it gave us our first experience documenting a Jewish wedding. We knew to expect an action packed day, so armed with extra memory cards and batteries we headed down to one of our favourite venues, Bendooley Estate in the Southern Highlands.Read More
