If there was ever a day when we've witnessed the benefits of having a wedding planner, this was it. Monique and Shane's first choice for a wedding ceremony location was outdoors on the ever-popular Observatory Hill in The Rocks. But a week of rain and a wet start to the wedding day meant that a Plan B was going to be required.
Enter the team from Bells N Whistles Events who had diligently lined up a rather spectacular wet weather option known as the Shangri-La Hotel. The view from the 36th floor was spectacular with Sydney Harbour and the couple's world famous reception venue, the Park Hyatt, immediately below us. As the newlyweds spent a few quiet moments together, I took the opportunity to use the dramatic floor to ceiling windows as a perfect frame for both the couple and Monique's stunning Carolina Herrera gown, a tricolour masterpiece created from a single piece of fabric.
