"These photos are AWESOMMMMMMEE!!!!!! You both did such a great job! We can't thank you enough for being there and making it such a great wedding, it wouldn’t have been the same without you! We can’t wait to see the rest of the shots if these are anything to go by!"
For all the times I've created images where the bride and groom are just a small element of a broader landscape, I'm conscious of the fact that I never really get asked for them. I just assume and hope that my couples like what I do. So when Renee asked me if I would be able to take a photo where her and Shane were tiny against the backdrop it was music to my ears! This is one of my favourite urban landscapes from the day. Hope you like it!
Call me an old romantic but there's something quite magical about the handful of seconds when the newlyweds walk through a shower of confetti or petals. Unfortunately it's now quite a rare event as many ceremony venues and locations forbid the throwing of anything that causes a mess. Katie and James were pretty sure that a petal shower at their ceremony venue, the Killara Uniting Church, would be frowned upon but they were so keen to have this moment of fun that they decided to be a bit naughty and went ahead with it without consulting the minister. Their quite compelling reasoning was that it's better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission and surely God is forgiving, right? It's hard to argue with that theory!
For our first destination in New Zealand we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location, day or couple. Childhood sweethearts Lizzie and Robbie chose Poppies winery in the gorgeous wine region of Martinborough, just outside Wellington, to host their celebrations. Their timing was also perfect with their outdoor wedding taking place on the only gloriously sunny day in an otherwise grey and wet week. Well done chaps!
"Hi Milton and Amy,
Thanks for sending these photos through - they are brilliant! I'm excited to see what the rest will look like! It really was the Best. Day. Ever! And everything we had hoped it would be and more!
Thanks so much for being part of our special day and capturing all those special moments. We look forward to hearing from you so we can see the rest of the photos."
