I'm not sure why but there seems to be a weather rule (operating at a higher level than I will ever comprehend) which dictates that wedding days in Sydney WILL be perfect. And so when Elizabeth and Dougal recently tied the knot recently, it was another warm and sunny day.
And just as well, as the setting was the gorgeous Eling Forest Winery in the Southern Highlands of NSW where the outdoor ceremony would be followed by a garden party, completed with picnic rugs, croquet and boules!
Elizabeth is an accomplished wedding cake supplier and created her own apple-adorned feast, as well as planning and designing a whole range of amazing decorations and neat touches; a photo tree, paper lanterns and a hatstand adorned the garden, while guests were kept cool from the blazing sun with soft drinks, paper fans and paper parasols.
The ceremony was beautiful and wonderfully conducted by Rita from Divine Celebrancy. It was made even more memorable by the groom shedding far more tears than the bride!
