I recently took a trip down to the Southern Highlands for the wedding of a very special girl called Kelly.

Kelly has been one of my biggest supporters since I flung open the virtual doors of my fledgling business and is without a doubt my most devoted Facebook fan! On top of that she is also my most active client having booked a hat-trick of shoots including one of my Sushi Sessions, a portrait session as a birthday present for her boss, and of course her wedding which was being held at beautiful Terrara House Estate.

Being from the UK the Southern Highlands always makes me think of Scotland (although over there the Southern Highlands are called the Lowlands - which kinda makes sense) and the weather certainly did its best to keep up the illusion. Heavy cloud and drizzle greeted my arrival but actually enhanced the atmosphere of being out in the open fields where all those wild animals roam free. You know, like Kookaburras. And stuff.

Well, the weather definitely wasn't going to hamper Kelly as she prepared to tie the knot with LONG time boyfriend Dane. I arrived at the beautiful luxury Hazelwood Beach House at Callala Beach to find Kelly and her girls having an absolute ball getting ready and accessorising with glasses of bubbles and pumping tunes! Then with Louboutins donned (my first pair, oh yeah!) she greeted her delighted father outside and traveled with him in vintage Jaguar luxury to Terrara where her groom awaited.

The evening reception was held in the marquee under the famous white chandeliers. Tears flowed freely during emotional speeches and the bridal waltz, adding just a bit more H2O to this gorgeous part of New South Wales.
