Abby and Charlie chose Sydney's beautiful Watson's Bay as the setting for their wedding, and they entrusted me to capture the day knowing that this was my first wedding as a solo photographer. No pressure then!
Abby and her bridesmaids were styled and dressed in a suite in the Palace Hotel, right by the water and next door to the famous Doyles restaurant. Meanwhile Charlie and his boys enjoyed a few cold beers in the bar a couple of floors down.
The outdoor ceremony took place at the Gap Bluff centre, an amazing elevated location with clear views of the CBD skyline and the Harbour Bridge. Strings played as the couple were wed then after a brief photo session it was on to the reception.
With 200 guests present, Abby and Charlie opted to have a cocktail reception rather than a formal sit down dinner, enabling the guests to mingle and catch up at will. The speeches were some of the best I've ever heard, particularly the groom's which received a lot of praise (although maybe it shouldn't be too much of a surprise as Charlie works as a copywriter!).
The talented groomsmen then sang along to their guitars as the couple danced their first steps as husband and wife.
