George & Isabel

A Canberra Region Farm Wedding At Wattagan Homestead

Fewer things are better than a good old backyard wedding, especially when the backyard is a huge slab of family farmland. Such was the case for George and Isabel.

George grew up at Wattagan which is just thirty minutes outside of Canberra in the Yass Valley wine region of Wallaroo. It had always been George’s dream to get married at Wattagan and on the way home from her very first date with Isabel she called her mum to set the wheels in motion.

The result was a magnificent team effort that saw the homestead freshly painted, the paddock manicured, an arbor built, flowers arranged and furniture and accessories sourced.

The brides’ gorgeous dresses brought a touch of chic which contrasted nicely with the sea of Akubras and RM Williams boots, but the girls never lost sight of their country theme, donning their own Akuras come the end of what was simply a stunning day.
